Perth Museum

The new Perth Museum, a world-class cultural and heritage attraction, will open its doors on Saturday, March 30th, for Easter Weekend. It will highlight the fascinating objects and stories that put Perth and Kinross at the centre of Scotland’s story.

At its heart will sit the Stone of Destiny, returning to Perthshire for the first time in over 700 years. The Stone will be the centrepiece of the new Museum and will be free for all to view. The new Museum will also display Perth & Kinross’s Recognised Collections of National Significance and iconic loans and exhibitions from the UK and abroad.

Visitors to the museum can immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of Perth and Kinross and enjoy a range of amenities. The café offers a variety of refreshments, perfect for a leisurely break. The shop is stocked with a selection of gifts and souvenirs, allowing visitors to take a piece of their experience home. Additionally, the museum provides learning and events spaces, fostering a sense of community and engagement in a heritage Edwardian building which was once once a bustling gathering place for markets, concerts, political conferences, and wrestling matches.
