They can enjoy scaling the climbing frames, flying down the slides or bouncing gleefully on the trampolines, burning energy to their hearts content. There’s crazy golf for some fun with the putter and also go-karts – for the future Lewis Hamilton or Jackie Stewart’s to have a go on.
The outdoor adventure park is open until 29th October, so there’s plenty of time for the young ones to play and it’s guaranteed to leave a big smile on their faces and yours too. They can fly back and forth on the swings, scale the straw mountain and have heaps of fun on the fantastic jelly bellies! You can also let them unleash their inner farmer, with the push tractor and mini diggers providing them with hours of fun. There are also friendly farm animals for the little ones to meet, which will be both educational and exciting for them. They can ‘baa’ with the sheep, ‘moo’ with the Highland cow and ‘cock-a-doodle-do’ with the hens!
The indoor soft play area remains open until Christmas time and is perfect when the weather outside is not very nice. There’s a great collection of toys and ride-on tractors, cars and push-along trolleys, plus a soft climbing frame with slides which has been updated to include more play value for the children. There’s also a computerised games screen with educational games to keep the kids entertained.
While the kids play, the parents can sit back and relax in the fantastic coffee shop. There’s delicious home-baking, light lunches and snacks to whet your children’s appetite. All of the items on sale in the coffee shop are also available for takeaway.

Auchingarrich has been run by the Scott family for six years, having previously visited with their own children and fallen in love with it! The park’s full-time keepers Maxine and Karen devote their love and care to all of the animals and make sure their health and welfare are the main priority. Happy animals for happy kids!

The Climbing Wall is part of the fantastic Academy of Sports and Well-being Building at Perth College UHI and offers experienced and beginner climbers the chance to learn how to scale rocky mountain faces under the safe supervision of experts.
The Perth College Climbing Centre is suitable for new and experienced climbers, as well as performance climbing athletes, ensuring a sustainable progression route for all levels of ability. Climbers will be faced with a feast of unusual and striking features inspired by iconic Scottish rock climbing venues such as Carn Dearg, Mangersta, Strone Ulladale and Etive Slabs.
A visual explosion of vertical walls, slabs, overhangs, soaring curved and stepped aretes, a flared chimney, bomb bay corners and flying grooves await; all subtly and aesthetically merged to create an indoor climbers paradise.
With routes varying in difficulty, and a practice wall to get you warmed up, even the least able climbers are bound to come out of the building with a new-found thirst for hitting the mountains. It is suitable for people of all ages with specialised child classes available too.
What’s more it is situated just outside Perth City Centre meaning you are close to everything else Perth has to offer. In the Sports and Wellbeing Building itself, you will also find a sports hall – catering for racket sports and ball games – and a state-of-the-art gym to keep fit too!

Situated on the southern shore of Loch Leven, the nature reserve offers the ideal day out the family or nature lovers in general. You can be at one with the wilderness and watch the different species go about their day-to-day lives in the peaceful serenity of this beautiful part of Perthshire.
The reserve was formerly known as Vane Farm and has been around since 1967. It’s a centre for environmental education and provides the perfect platform for children to explore and discover nature.
Head through the woodland trail to the very top of Vane Hill, where you’ll find breathtaking views over the Kinross-shire hills and local countryside. Then, wander down to the wetland trail and huddle into one of the three hides that will allow you to observe the wildlife around you without disturbing their habitat.
In the summertime, you may catch a glimpse of the magnificent ospreys on the Loch, a fantastic site to behold. In winter, there are thousands of pink-footed geese, swans and ducks residing at the reserve, meaning that all year round there are a wide variety of species for you and your kids to learn about and witness first-hand.
There are lots of places to have the perfect picnic but if you don’t fancy packing your own lunch or if the weather isn’t ideal, RSPB Loch Leven has a fantastic café which is open throughout the year. The café serves scrumptious food which is sourced locally meaning you can rest assured your bellies will be filled and your little ones will be happy! All of this with the fantastic view over Loch Leven itself makes for a blissful experience.
