Marek and Magda Michalak have been the business owners of Café Tabou since 2007 having fallen in love with the restaurant after Marek joined the team there in 2004. It has always been their aim to provide a taste of France to Perth and they strive to achieve this by offering a selection of menus that take inspiration form French bistro dining with an emphasis on traditional recipes combined with the use of local Perthshire produce wherever possible.
Marek has been working in the industry for over 15 years, during which time he has been inducted to the Master Chef Association of Poland, and gained his Master Chef Qualification and also a Master Butcher qualification with merit.
