Experience Perth’s beautiful Norie-Miller Walk in a whole new way – free event! From the 28th Jan, spectacular lighting displays will transform the banks of the Tay into a magical wonderland. Includes theme nights to mark Burns Night, Chinese New Year, and St Valentine’s Day.
Norie-Miller Walk Light Nights will run from 28 January to 14 February inclusive, with a spectacular lighting display on show every night from 3.00 pm – 10.00 pm. The look and feel of the riverside walk will change throughout the run, making it perfect for return visits.
There will also be special theme nights running from 5.00 pm – 9.00 pm to mark Burns Night, Chinese New Year, and St Valentine’s Day. Each of the events will be free to enter, although hot food and drink, and themed refreshments will be on sale at Norie-Miller Walk throughout the light nights.
All performances will take place at varying times between 5pm and 9pm on the following nights:
28th January: Opening night with a Scottish Theme for Burns Night
Featuring a lone piper and Highland Dancer, Perth & District Pipe Band, a fire show, and Perth’s own Adventure Circus acrobatic displays.
30th January: Chinese New Year Themed Night
From 4.45pm follow Perth’s annual Chinese New Year parade through the city, led by the Perthshire Chinese Community. Leaving from 2 High Street the left into King Edward Street, left into St John Street then to a ticketed Salutation Hotel event. Norie-Miller Walk will carry on the festivities, featuring firecrackers and Chinese arts demonstrations along the riverside.
3rd, 4th and 5th February: Wonderland Themed Weekend
Norie-Miller Walk will be turned into a special Wonderland event, featuring stilt walkers, mad hatters and fire shows. Adventure Circus will also be returning for each of the Wonderland nights. along with the fantastic Ad-Lib. Winebox events will be there with their mulled wine and prosecco and fab photo booth. Hot food and drink will be provided by The Kitchen and Wine Box. Locally sourced, burgers, stovies and Bacon Rolls – perfect winter warmers! The fantastic Fire shows will also be running over the weekend. (All entertainments between 5-9pm)
10th – 14th February: Valentine’s Theme
From 10-14 February the riverside walk will turn into a very special lover’s lane, with sparkling wine, chocolates, and food on offer on site, or as the perfect place for a romantic walk after dinner in one of Perth’s many restaurants.
On the 10th, 11th and 14th here will be fireshows, serenading stilt walkers, the fabulous adventure circus all on hand to entertain you between 5-9pm.
Food and drink will be provided by The Kitchen, Wine Box and the fab Fizzbuz. There will be a heated marquee for you to sit and linger in and soak up the love-ly (see what we did there?) atmosphere.

Getting There From Perth City
Norie-Miller Park is a just a short, 5 minute stroll across The Queen’s Bridge at the end of Perth’s South Street. Parking is available on Tay Street or for a longer stay please use either the South Inch or Canal Street Long Stay Car Parks. Parking in Perth City Centre is free after 6pm. Alternatively, you can park in Rodney Garden’s car park which is open 24 hours, all year round. (Please note access is via the Queens Bridge to the Norie-Miller Park)
City Centre Walk of Two Bridges
From Perth City Centre, cross the Queens Bridge and once on the far side of the river take the path into Norie Miller Parklands and follow the Norie-Miller Riverside Walk on the path nearest to the river. This comes out at Commercial Street in Perth’s Bridge End. Turn left here before crossing West Bridge Street and left again to cross Perth Bridge back into the city centre.
