The Post Box is a fairly recent addition to the city centre, but has quickly established itself as one of the city’s favourite eateries.  It is called the Postbox because it is situated on the site where the first post office opened in Perth way back in 1861!

The dishes served up look like pieces of art and are spectacularly presented using an array of locally sourced produce.  Head Chef Wesley Watts creates a fusion of traditional and modern cooking to create some fantastic taste infusions!

The Cellar Bar downstairs serves up some great cocktails and drinks, we recommend the cosmopolitan! It has a cosy, friendly atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit next time you are out with friends or family.

The Early evening menu offers up 2 courses for £15.95 and 3 for £19.95.  The choices are great it’s definitely worth visit!

The Braw Dealis on Monday to Thursday 12pm – 5pm.  It is a great menu with a mix of traditional and more modern dishes.  With 2 courses for £13.95 and 3 courses are £16.95 it is definitely a ‘Braw Deal!’

Marek and Magda Michalak have been the business owners of Café Tabou since 2007 They fell in love with the restaurant after Marek joined the team there in 2004. It has always been their aim to provide a taste of France to Perth.

Marek has been working in the industry for over 15 years, during which time he has been inducted to the Master Chef Association of Poland, and gained his Master Chef Qualification and also a Master Butcher qualification with merit!

The Pre-Theatre Menu is on: Tuesday – Thursday 5.30pm-9.30pm

              Friday – Saturday 5.30pm – 7.00pm

            Sunday – Monday 5.00pm – 8.00pm

The menu has a wonderful  selection of dishes and you can even have the ‘Plat du jour’ or ‘Poisson du jour’  as your main course, all cooked up by a Master Chef of Great Britain!

The North Port is run by husband and wife Andrew and Karen.  Andrew heads up the kitchen and Karen takes care of the front of house, operations and marketing. All the ingredients used in the dishes presented are carefully selected and are supplied by small, local growers, breeders, suppliers and foragers.

The food is of a very high standard.  The variety of dishes and combination of ingredients is a match made in heaven.  The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and all the staff are very helpful and attentive.  It’s no surprise that they won ‘Best Traditional Restaurant’ at the Scottish Food Awards last year!

They are open 5 days a week from Tuesday-Saturday.  Their Pre-Theatre Dinner menu is served Tuesday- Thursday 5.00pm-9.30pm and Friday-Saturday 5.00pm-6.30pm  2 courses are £14.95 and 3 courses are £17.95.

In 2007 Graeme Pallister set out to create a restaurant following his guiding principles of LOCAL – HONEST – SIMPLE. The result was 63 Tay Street restaurant. The restaurant is a proud holder of the prestigious Eat Scotland Gold award. This award is currently held by only 15 other restaurants in Scotland! Graeme Pallister was also crowned Chef of the Year at the Catering in Scotland Awards 2013.

The team at 63 have just launched their Mid Week Express menu which offers 2 courses for £17.00 or 3 courses for £22.00 This is served Tuesday to Thursday and will change fortnightly to reflect the very best of what’s in season.
