Last weekend saw the Riverside Light Nights return to the Norie-Miller walk, and what a great opening to the festival it was!
Thousands of visitors descended on the Fair city to welcome back the magic of the Light Nights to the Fair City last weekend. The Burn’s Night theme kicked off the FREE family fun, and what a great weekend it was!
The fun started with a lantern-lit parade, led by the Perth & District Pipe Band, The Absurdist Pipe Band and Showboat Circus, from the High street across to the Riverside. Once over at the Riverside, visitors with met with a stunning display of illuminations and Burn’s inspired magic. The theme was a delight for the senses with so much to see, hear and taste. Traditional storytelling, poetry, Highland dancing, fire performers and an amazing performance from Mad Ferret made for an amazing celebration of Robert Burns and his contribution to Scottish culture.
If you don’t believe me, take a look at some of the amazing photos above!
Didn’t manage to make it along to our Burn’s Night theme? That’s okay, there’s still plenty of amazing themed and illumination night to come!
