Perth & Kinross is known and loved for the quality of its food and drink, from luscious soft fruits and fresh farm vegetables to salmon, Highland beef and venison. We have many producers of fine cheese, chocolate, oatcakes and breads, not to mention our gin, whisky, wine, beer and soft-drink makers.

The first Scottish Farmer’s Market started in Perth, in 1999, and it goes from strength to strength with people flocking to snap up high-quality ingredients and local delicacies. And in 2018, Perth was named Scotland’s Food Town due to our high number of award-winning chefs, restaurants and food producers.

The Great Perth & Kinross Tour – Food & Drink’s a behind-the-scenes look into our food and drink products, the talented producers – and what to expect when you visit the places where all the magic happens.

In 2018 Perth was voted Food Town of the Year at the prestigious Scottish Food Awards. This award recognised the significant contribution of our city’s chefs, food producers, cafés and restaurants to the thriving Scottish food scene, and as a city we were very proud to receive it.
