Based on the novel by Compton Mackenzie and shot on the island of Barra, Michael Balcon’s original film stars Basil Radford, Joan Greenwood and of course 50,000 cases of whisky.
Todday is suffering the worst of deprivations – a lack of whisky – when a shipwrecked cargo ship offers them an answer to their prayers.  But how can they outwit the authorities and the prying eyes of Captain Waggett?
There’ll be no drought at the Artspace as we toast this classic film with a nip of whisky (soft drink option available).
Licensed bar. Adult tickets £8, under 16s £6.
