This year’s Touch of Tartan Half-Marathon starts at 11am at Perth Airport (Scone) This event is proving to be extremely popular and the free Tartan Express shuttle bus will be running on a loop between Bell’s Sports Centre and the start line on the morning of the race.
The route is a 13 mile half-marathon and entrants will run along scenic pathways and roads and finish on the North Inch.
The Touch of Tartan Half Marathon is open to anyone aged 18 and over, and as the course is 13 miles long, we suspect that most participants wouldn’t want to run a full 13 miles wearing a kilt!
Instead, participants in the Half Marathon will be asked to have some form of tartan on display – this could be anything from a piece of ribbon to a t-shirt, headband or tartan socks. It’s entirely up to you!

Please note that the Half Marathon route (shown in green) follows the same route as last year and is a mixture of unclassified road, tarmac, forest trails and (possibly muddy) paths and has 1 main cross-over point controlled by Police Scotland.
