The Summer Carnival is back and after last year’s sell-out, make sure you snap up your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
The biggest crowd of the season will flock to Perth Racecourse for a mixture of first-class jump racing and brilliant summer entertainment. It’s a real carnival vibe and the crowds will be entertained by live music, magicians and more on our most popular day of the year.
Prize money has increased to £82,000 for the race day and the one they all want to win is the Stone of Destiny Handicap Hurdle – run over two miles – which was Dear Sire and trainer Donald McCain’s race last year. The winner will net a tasty £30,000 and it will attract the best of UK and Irish racing to the UK’s most northerly racecourse.
The Grandstand and Centre Course areas are open with live music and entertainment on throughout the day, including a range of fun inflatables for the kids in the Centre Course. Dance and sing-a-long to the tunes from SambaYaBamba on arrival, and Shaka Loves You will be taking to the main stage after the final race too.
Drive right in and bring your own picnic to the Centre Course area. Let the kids play while you grab a drink from the Sports Bar and watch the action unfold.
This is the second and final Saturday fixture of the year and it’s one you simply won’t want to miss out on. Come and enjoy the summer sunshine and get ready for a party at the annual Summer Carnival Race Day!
