Comrie PH6 2DZ
We are delighted to welcome to Comrie one of the most highly-regarded performers and creative forces on the Scottish music scene: Findlay Napier. He is one of the most distinct and unique artists in British folk/roots music – thoroughly active and truly energised with a heart-warming zing. This will be an evening of fun, laughter and inspiration. Fin is a force of nature and his shows are as much about the banter and the laughs as they are about the wonderful songs. “I do love that old-fashioned, all-round idea of an entertainer” he says. But then that’s totally what the best folk singers are.
He’ll be performing from his most recent album ‘Glasgow’ – a homage to his adopted city, and here’s a little of what has been said about it:
‘Coming on like a Caledonian Loudon Wainwright … A superbly crafted compilation of Songs’. Acoustic Magazine.
‘Ultimately “Glasgow” is an album that expresses a love for the city and the people. A city you could call home. Findlay Napier in his words and music does more for tourism than the best Trip Advisor reports could ever achieve. After his debut release V.I.P.: Very Important Persons I wondered how he could possibly surpass such a start but with “Glasgow” the master craftsman just gets better.’ FATEA Magazine
Findlay will be supported by John Paul Mason and friends.
