Fantastic Fungi @ The Hermitage

Discover the world of fungi with the National Trust for Scotland at the Hermitage on Saturday 23rd September.

Visitors are invited to join the site’s Rangers for ‘Fantastic Fungi’, a walk and talk tour around the picturesque Hermitage site to identify the different species of fungi, with advice and tips on how to spot them.

Rangers will share the many fascinating legends and folklore stories related to the appearance and names of different fungi and attendees will be given the chance to forage for the living organisms.

The event, which is a beginner’s guide to the world of fungi, is suitable for adults and children over the age of eight and will be held again on Thursday 12th October.

The meeting point for the guided walk is: The Hermitage, Old Military Rd, Dunkeld PH8 0JR (Meet in lower car park)

The National Trust for Scotland is Scotland’s largest conservation charity with 360,000 members and growing, and is the only charity to care for both built and natural heritage.
