Diverse CiTay Festival: Perth Museum & Art Gallery Activities @ Perth Museum & Art Gallery

Saturday 23 June 2018 will see Perth celebrating the Year of Young People 2018 (YOYP2018) in spectacular style with a day-long event putting young people aged eight to 26 in the spotlight. The FREE Diverse CiTay Festival is Perth’s signature event as part of YOYP2018 and will present an exciting mix of music, theatre, art, culture, sport, health and wellbeing.

Activites include:

Flowers of the Forest 
The Fallen of World War One are commemorated by pupils of Perth Academy with this special intergenerational creative response. Using the names on the school’s war memorial, students respond to the centenary of the end of the Great War through specially produced digital work in this moving exhibition.

Self and Image
A thought provoking exhibition exploring self-image and issues of identity facing young people today through images and photography produced by young people from Navigate. Inspired by the experimental techniques of Perth photography pioneer Magnus Jackson.

Perthshire Creates The Summer Contemporary Design Market
A chance to enjoy and buy contemporary craft and design products direct from Perthshire &
Tayside artists and designer makers, including ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, homewares,
gifts, art and cards. Co-produced by young people and Perthshire creates.
