For 3 nights only Gary Knight, author of ‘No Fair City’ will be resurrecting his alter ego, the ghostly John Larg – a local ne’er do well who met his fate on the end of the Perth Hangman’s rope in 1817! Along with fellow spectre Annie Adams, he will lead unsuspecting members of the public around the streets, vennels and graveyards of the City while he tells tales of Perth’s dark, grouesome and sometimes spooky past.

So if you like stories of bodysnatchers, Ghosts, Witchcraft, murders, Executions and Plague or have enjoyed reading his book and articles for this site you are in for a treat!

Tours are FREE courtesy of Perth and Kinross Council and start weekly on Friday nights at 7.30pm on Horscross Plaza (outside Perth Concert Hall).

The tours will be running on 20th & 27th October and 3rd November and although reasonably family friendly some locations and stories are quite atmospheric so it is recommended for 8yrs+.

Booking in advance is advised as spaces are limited. Wrap up warm, bring a torch and prepare for an evening of interesting, spooky fun!

There will also be a chance to purchase ‘No Fair City; Tales of Perth’s Dark Past’ (£9.99) at the end of each tour so you can take these stories (and more…) home to entertain friends and family!
