Roads and Bridges

Explore the early history of The Black Watch as we discover how General George Wade opened up the Highlands with his famous network of roads. Follow in Wade’s footsteps as we have a go at making our own bridges and roads to cross some tricky terrain.

£5 per child (drink, snack and Museum Explorer’s polo shirt included) or free with Museum family annual pass.

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January, Perth will celebrate the contribution Robert Burns has made to Scottish culture, with live entertainment and fun with a Scottish twist as part of the Riverside Light Nights. On Saturday 26 there will also be a themed parade starting in Perth city centre, and heading over the bridge to bring participants to Norie Miller Park.

A talk about the Atlantic U-Boat campaign of WW1 and the prolonged naval conflict between German submarines and the Allied convoys in Atlantic waters.

Your evening will begin with a drinks reception at 6.30pm with the lecture commencing at 7.00pm.

The streets of Perth will be alive with Medieval Re-enactment, Medieval crafters, puppets and story tellers and the return of the famous Ye Olde Perth Dunk Tank.
King Edward St will be the location for the Combat Zone where Knights will shows their skills in medieval combat.
