Pitlochry Festival Theatre: The Unwanted @ River Room - Pitlochry Festival Theatre
Feb 22 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Pitlochry Festival Theatre: The Unwanted @ River Room - Pitlochry Festival Theatre | Scotland | United Kingdom

Shaper/Caper

It’s a comedy, it’s dance theatre, it’s about failure – it’s a comedy dance theatre show. In The Unwanted, narrator Thomas starts by sharing his letters of rejection. Meanwhile Vince, armed with a multitude of cheap props, will bring the tale to life physically. (He might need a few pals from the audience to help him, especially for the ‘big’ numbers . . .)

Destruction and chaos ensue as props fail and costumes fall apart, while the pair do everything they can to just keep going on! With comedy songs written by Mark Franks (The Overtones) and with lots of audience dancing, this show will make failure funny – yours, mine and particularly Thomas’s. There will be a free workshop for anyone who has ever wanted to make a piece of dance theatre (which will be included in the show!) Check website for details. Age 16+.

Tickets can be purchased from www.PitlochryFestivalTheatre.com or by phoning the Box Office on 01796 484 626.

The North @ Perth Theatre
Mar 1 @ 8:00 pm
The North @ Perth Theatre

After their acclaimed debut Plan B for Utopia, Joan
Clevillé Dance returns with The North, the bleak yet
whimsical story of John, a young man who finds
himself lost in the harsh yet delicate wilderness
of the North with only himself and two eccentric
Northerners for company. Without any memory of
who he is or where he comes from, John searches
for his own identity in an increasingly unpredictable
environment, a place where being lost is the norm
and letting go the only way to survive.
Blending elements from dance, physical theatre
and puppetry, The North features cinematic visual
and sound design with original music by Luke
Sutherland and an eclectic soundtrack from
Wagner to Frank Sinatra.
