‘I begin to doubt, don’t you see? I begin to believe I imagine everything. Perhaps I do…’

Bella Manningham is going mad, ‘stark gibbering mad’ just like her mother. She must be: items go missing in her house; pictures disappear from walls, brooches, rings, keys, and pencils vanish, only to turn up in the most surprising places; lights flicker up and down; and she hears noises at night in the closed off rooms upstairs.

When Bella replaces her smelling salts for a stiff glass of whisky with a retired detective, the fog starts to clear. But what is the connection between all the strange goings-on around her and a violent murder and robbery twenty years ago?

A mystery with shades of Film Noir, Kai Fischer directs Patrick Hamilton’s timeless psychological thriller which coined the term ‘gaslighting’

Prince Charming @ Perth Theatre

Written by Jenny Worton
Designed and directed by Ross MacKay

Fine today … can’t get out of bed tomorrow. That was three months ago. I’ve been in these pants ever since.

It’s a lot of pressure being Prince Charming. There’s all those dragons to fight and kingdoms to save, not to mention being charming all the time. It’s enough to make anyone a little worried.

Holed up in his bed, Prince Charming is making a list of his worries – from being struck by lightning or getting stuck in quicksand to the problem of his unfortunate name. Somebody needs to come to our Prince’s rescue.

This new musical is funny, endearing and suitable for anyone who’s ever felt a bit anxious.

Turn of the Screw @ Perth Concert Hall

Turn of the Screw @ Perth Concert Hall

‘I don’t save or shield them. It’s as bad as
I feared – they’re lost’

1840. A young governess agrees to look after two orphaned children in Bly, a seemingly idyllic country house. But shortly after her arrival, she realises that they are not alone. There are others – the ghosts of Bly’s troubled past. The Governess will risk everything to keep the children safe, even if it means giving herself up to The Others. Years later, confronted by the past she is compelled to account for what actually happened to her and the innocents under her protection.

This new adaptation of Henry James’ iconic tale, which was the original inspiration for Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black, is a masterclass in stage-craft, with captivating performances, deliciously atmospheric set and lighting design and an evocative soundtrack, starring Janet Dibley (Doctors, EastEnders, The Two of Us) and Maggie McCarthy (Dancing on the Edge, Call the Midwife).
