Etape Caledonia @ Pitlochry
May 19 all-day
Etape Caledonia @ Pitlochry

Etape Caledonia is a mass participation cycling event that has attracted more than 35,000 people since it debuted in 2007. With 5,000 places on offer each year, this sell out event attracts riders from all over the country to take on one of the most breathtaking rides through the spectacular Scottish Highlands.

This year’s event has two distances for you to choose from:

85 mile route

85 miles of closed road cycling beginning and concluding in Pitlochry. The course consists of rolling hills and forest-lined roads around Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel, combined with the demanding, twisting climb of Mt Schiehallion (1,083m).

40 mile route

A 40 mile option of closed road cycling beginning in Pitlochry. The course will take you left away from the 85 mile route at Loch Tummel and then South towards Coshieville, round to Aberfeldy before you finish back in Pitlochry.

It will be hard for you to not enjoy the views, whilst taking breaks at the number of food and drink stations placed around the course. Once completed, it’s time to sit back, relax, and soak up the atmosphere in the Event Village. You can stick around afterwards and raise a glass with friends and family to toast your cycling achievement.

Cateran Yomp @ Bogle’s Field
Jun 8 all-day
Cateran Yomp @ Bogle’s Field | Scotland | United Kingdom

Scotland’s toughest endurance event is back for another year!  Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Set to push you to your limits, both physically and mentally, the Cateran Yomp will take you on a journey through the foothills of the Cairngorms where you’ll attempt to conquer the gruelling 54-mile gold hike within 24 hours.

And if the full 54-mile hike isn’t for you, there’s also the Silver 36-mile route or the Bronze route that covers 22 miles, ensuring walkers of all abilities can take part.

The Cateran Yomp is a team event for between 3-6 people but if you don’t have a team you can still take part. Simply register to take part on your own and nearer to the event you’ll be placed into a group with walkers of a similar level of fitness.

Once you’ve signed up to Yomp, it’s all about the fundraising!  ABF The Soldiers’ Charity distribute the funds you raise to soldiers, veterans and their families across the country.

Thanks to over 1000 participants walking the three levels of the Cateran Yomp, last year’s event raised a record £250,000 for the charity.  This year – it’s your turn!

Taking place on the 8/9 June in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland, teams of 3-6 people battle through 54 miles (gold) in 24 hours across the rugged terrain of the Scottish wilderness. 14th Annual Tayside Classic Motor Show @ Errol Airfield

Tayside Classic Car Club with the continued support of Morris Leslie are delighted to be holding their 14th Classic Motor Show at Errol Airfield in Perthshire on Sunday 9th June 2019

We look forward to welcoming a wide range of cars, motor cycles, commercials, and agricultural vehicles as well as various car clubs to this year’s show. We also hope to have entertainment in the ring including a Pipe Band, Dog Display Team and Dancers as well as a range of food vendors, various stalls and entertainment for the children. The adjoining Errol Sunday Market is always worth a visit.

As you know this show is held to raise funds for local children’s charities and we were delighted to be able to donate £7504.46 to Cash for kids and other local charities in 2018. We have now donated just over £54,000 during the last 13 years and hope with the continued support of our entrants, traders and members of the public to make another substantial donation in 2019.
