J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) was perhaps the most prolific, innovative and one of the best-loved of all British artists. His outstanding watercolours were bequeathed to the National Gallery of Scotland in 1899 by the distinguished collector, Henry Vaughan, and are one of the most popular features of its collection. Join Christopher Baker, Director of the Portrait Gallery, for an illustrated talk that will provide a remarkable overview of many of the most important aspects of Turner’s Career.

The Queen has had corgis by her side ever since she was seven years old and persuaded her father to buy one for the family. The dogs are the Queen’s constant companions and Jenny’s book reveals the scraps and scrapes in which the dogs have been involved.

Daughter of Sir John Junor and school-mate of Princess Anne, journalist, TV presenter and popular writer, Penny Junor is possibly best known for her royal biographies, originating with Diana: Princess of Wales, earning her the label of ‘royal expert’. This is a fascinating and affectionate look at the Queen and her most faithful companions on what really makes our much-loved and longest reigning monarch truly light up.

Our programme makes space for challenging debate with activists, writers and thinkers from across the political, cultural and religious spectrum. The festival offers a broad, inclusive, creative and entertaining programme for festival-goers of all ages in a safe environment; everyone is welcome.

We pride ourselves on being inclusive to all – therefore you will find that ticket prices are affordable, with concessions offered a significant discount, free entry for kids under 12, and free tickets also available for refugees and asylum seekers. Adult weekend tickets are currently at the cheaper price of £90 until the end of January, so book soon to take advantage!

Three of the biggest rock stars of dance combine their incredible talents in a brand-new show. Watch Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez, giants of the ballroom and Latin world battle it out on the dance floor.

The setting is a club, and the challenge is to find out who’s best on the dance floor!

They are here to impress, willing us to cheer them on, as they go head to head in a dance-off! Battling each other every night, in Latin, Ballroom, commercial and contemporary! They need you to decide who is the champion

Our DJ will select the tracks, and spin the decks, whilst our boys will show you why they are the true heavyweights of dance

From J.Lo to Bruno Mars, MJ, Gloria Estefan, dance anthems and club classics! Accompanied by a live percussionist and flamenco guitarist, with live vocals from Elizabeth Troy (formerly with Clean Bandit).

These dance-floor classics will have you out of your seat, whilst you feast on the visual delights of what our boys have in store for you!
