Everything kicks off at noon with a colourful parade down Tay Street and culminates in a day of big, bright and beautiful activities on the North Inch. Grab your friends and family, bring your deckchair or blanket, and dust off your dancing shoes. And remember to pack your picnic and take your seat in the Big Lunch community picnic where you'll be entertained with a fabulous musical and dance fuelled backdrop.

Sahara UK, ‘The Ultimate Bhangra Party Band’, bring the sound of the anthem ‘Lal Ghagra’ to the masses with their high-energy performance and smash hit song list. ‘Lal Ghagra’, the 2004 anthem which was most recently recreated in the Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Bollywood film ‘Good Newwz’, is one of the most popular and evergreen Bhangra sounds of our generation.
The boys also perform songs such as ‘Billo Hai’, ‘Addi Maar’ and ‘Sohniye Ni Sohniye’ as they continue to entertain audiences around the world with their unique UK Bhangra vibes. Herbie and Gurps are a modern-day music phenomenon with their distinctive blend of addictive melodies, catchy lyrics and a parade of hit songs!
The Black Star Steel Band is a 7 piece Glasgow based steel band who have extended the format of the traditional steel band by adding Saxophone to the usual selection of Steel Pans and Percussion and play an energetic mix which takes in Calypso, Samba, Soca, Reggae and African styles, as well as Pop and Jazz.. The name is derived from the black star in the middle of the tricolour flag of Ghana as all founding members were Ghanaian.
Perth is renowned for its amazing local dance troops and schools and they're all coming out in fabulous force for the Mela! Starting in the Parade at 12 noon and dancing us down Tay Street before they each perform on the North Inch, you are guaranteed a high octance treat with this talented crew.
Baila Venezuela (dance Venezuela) celebrates Venezuelan culture through dance and music. The dancers are scattered throughout the UK as far as Birmingham and try to practice “live” once or twice a month. The genre Danza Nacionalista Venezolana encompasses dance traditions from various regions of Venezuela with Spanish, African and Indigenous influences.

Calling all the golfers! To celebrate the Jubilee Weekend, The North Inch Golf Club is running a Texas Scramble! This fun format golfing competition is for pairs - so grab your best golfing buddy to enter for a chance to win some fun prizes on the day.
For those who don’t know, in a Texas Scramble both players tee off, they then choose the best shot, after which both players play from there. They repeat this process until the ball is holed out.
Teams can be all female, all male, or mixed, and juniors can also enter. The only requirement is that all players must have a golf handicap as this required to set up the team competition handicap.
