Owned and run by working artists, jeweller Sarah Spalding and woodworker Louise Forbes, Tayberry Gallery is a beautiful shop where you'll find everything from quirky stocking fillers to big ticket art including practical items and quality handmade products for yourself and your home.
Everything in the gallery is designed and made in Britain and they show various ever-changing collections of art and design including jewellery, ceramics, wood, textiles, illustrations, paintings, glass, sculpture, prints, cards and more.
One of Tayberry's most appealing draws though, are the owners themselves. Warm and friendly Louise and Sarah are always ready to help and offer advice on any purchases. This year, they've added another layer of tayberry magic to the mix.
"For Christmas shoppers we're offering bookable private shopping slots every weekday between 5pm and 5.30pm. You can come alone, with your household, or with pals from one other household up to a maximum of 6 people.
"If you can't make it in we are also offering these as virtual shopping slots. We video call you and give you a tour of the gallery and show you anything you fancy looking at. You have the whole gallery to yourself and the undivided attention of either Sarah or Louise."
For people who are looking to support local as they shop this Christmas Tayberry has a huge choice. Many of the artists and designers are Scottish, and locally based - including them! - and most, if not all, have trained at Universities and Colleges to gain their qualifications. These passionate professionals in their chosen crafts ensure the Tayberry offering is design-led and of high quality.
