We've done our best to think of all of the questions surrounding a visit to Perth this Christmas. Should you have any further queries please email [email protected]
You can find dates, times and location for all events on the website here >
Santa’s Grotto is free.
We have reviewed the operational arrangements for managing the Grotto meaning it is no longer necessary to book in advance. In order to accommodate the expected demand PKC has extended the number of operational hours for this attraction.
A queuing system will be in place, and we would ask that you are respectful of others and mindful of distancing. As per Scottish Government guidelines, adults are requested to wear a mask when in the Grotto. Hand sanitiser will be provided for your use.
While we’d never want to assume or limit those who believe, we would ask that you are mindful of younger children (under 12) who will be excited to see Santa and receive their gifts. Free gifts will not be used to anyone over the age of 16 unless a special request has been made.
Yes. For the first year Perth’s Riverside event will be organised and run by a private company which has allowed us to bring a festive offering to the city. The Christmas Wonderland at Perth Riverside is a Christmas-themed lighting trail set across the Norie Miller Walk. Running throughout December, this magical, glittering event will provide festive fun for all the family.

There are a number of private operators offering craft events such The Black Watch Castle and Museum and Scottish Cut Flowers.
All PKC events are free to attend. This year we have asked people to book for Craft Workshops, Ghost Tours and Silent Disco in order that we can control numbers and manage expectations. In the case of craft workshops, we also need to ensure the supply of materials.
Please do not pay for any tickets for these events. This is almost certainly a scam.
Christmas Wonderland at Perth Riverside is a private event this year and requires you to book and pay with 21CC, the company behind the magic.
The traditional Perth ‘Lights Festival’ event has been replaced this year with a series of festive fun weekends. These events may be smaller but they are still packed with fun and have been created to ensure you receive a warm festive welcome in a safe environment.
The city's Christmas lights will have been switched on prior to these starting to bring festive atmosphere to our city centre.
