Silver Linings – Jewellery Design Studio

Well I finally did it!  After 10 years of being a self-employed jeweller, working from home and then being based in a fellow jeweller’s shop for the past 2 years I have finally taken the plunge and opened my own shop.

Having stocked shops and galleries across the UK and exhibiting at craft fairs including the Edinburgh Festival for the last 10 years, I have decided to take things to the next stage which will allow me to work on my designs and also promote fellow artist’s work.

The past few months have been non-stop preparations and planning to transform the old sandwich shop at the bottom of the High Street into a little piece of colourful and creative heaven.

After a successful opening weekend on Saturday 5th March, I have spent this week moving my workshop into the back of the shop.  I haven’t been in the workshop since the end of December so I am desperate to get back to my bench to start on a new collection to help fill the shelves and to work on some bespoke orders

Along with my own collections I am also stocking a variety of other jewellery, art and giftware with the emphasis on Scottish artists and designers. Gifts include candles, cards, clocks, handbags, purses and glass. I hope that Silver Linings becomes the place people think to come to when they are looking for extra special handmade jewellery and gifts.

As always jewellery commissions and repairs are welcome. Come along to see what Silver Linings has to offer.
